Vollrath Launches NUCU Cookware, Bakeware

Vollrath has officially launched its new cookware and bakeware line, NUCU, here at the Atlanta International Gift Home Furnishings Market. According to the company, the line was designed to fuse professional-grade, heavy-duty construction with modern elegance in a variety of stylish, practical and durable products.

“We know retailers are passionate about providing their customers the best possible products to elevate their experience in the kitchen,” said Jean Horvath, managing director for NUCU. “NUCU does just that. Retailers can feel good about offering this collection to their sophisticated clientele because the products will help home chefs enjoy the culinary process. The cookware line includes stock pots, sauté pans and fry pans. Each piece of cookware features five-ply stainless steel construction to prevent warping, the company said. The pans feature ergonomic handles that stay cool for safe cooking and have riveted construction for a secure hold.

The American-made bakeware is crafted entirely of commercial-grade aluminum for even heating and ensures the pans maintain their structural integrity for baking, cooking, broiling or cooling baked goods and foods. The gold-coated, non-stick surface is easy to clean and can withstand heavy wear and tear, according to the company.

Garbanzo offering earth-friendly dinnerware

Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh has partnered with Eco-Products to offer dinnerware that does double duty, helping guests and the environment at the same time. 
The plates are made from sugarcane — a 100 percent renewable resource — and the custom to-go lids are made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic. That means the whole package offers significant environmental benefits, Devin Handler, director of marketing for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, said in a company press release.

“Among many other reasons, our commitment to our guests and our environment is primarily why we strongly believe in using bio-based materials,” Handler said. “Using these products saves natural resources and doesn’t contribute to the deterioration of our planet by generating materials that are destined for the landfill after just one use.”
 Garbanzo stays ahead of its competition because it’s nimble, forward-thinking and innovative, said Sarah Martinez, director of marketing for Eco-Products. 

“They truly care about their customers and about the environment. That’s a real recipe for success today.”
Carryout orders will also use the dinnerware; the 9-inch plate comes with a special lid custom-designed by Eco-Products for take-out meals. The lid is made of 100- percent post-consumer recycled plastic, meaning that water bottles and other plastics that could have gone to the landfill now have new life.
