6 Father’s Day Gifts Faraway Dads Will Love – Forbes

Father’s Day is this coming weekend! I know, better get shopping, so I won’t take up your time with lots of wind up. Whether the important dad in your life is near or far, here are some gifts I’m pretty sure he will love.

UBI-IND

Ulrich Simpson, A.K.A. Ubi, is a veteran of the denim industry. He started out his own brand with a line of jeans for bigger, athletic men. He recently added “Mi Cocina,” a beautiful collection of denim kitchen accessories that make perfect Father’s Day gifts. The apron is the star of the show, while the oven mitt, pan handle holder, pot holder and knife roll all make perfect add-ons—from you or perhaps your littles.

Atlas Coffee Club

Atlas Coffee Club

This new coffee subscription delivers a world of coffee, from Burundi to Tanzania and beyond. Sign up dad for monthly or bi-monthly deliveries, which arrive in a beautiful bag that reflects the culture of the coffee’s origin. He’ll also receive a gorgeous image and info about the beans’ provenance. I tried it and can vouch that the quality is on a level that will impress the most discriminating coffee critics.

Hana gin

Hana Gin

If it’s smooth enough for Kenny G, I’d venture a guess it’s smooth enough for dear old dad, or anyone else in the world. Hana gin is handcrafted by a master distiller on San Francisco’s Treasure Island, and Kenny G just went into business with family-owned Branded Spirits USA to produce it. The beautiful bottle, which hints at the spirit’s lightly floral flavor, makes it an excellent gift. It’s made with just four botanicals: orange peel, lemon peel, Albanian juniper berries and lavender (most are made with 15 to 30) making it bright, clean and very drinkable. Plus it costs just $22 and you can find it at any BevMo.

Clutter.com

Clutter.com for Father’s Day

 Clutter

Whether the dad on your list is a pack rat (like mine; I say this lovingly) or the opposite and can’t stand the piles of magazines, clothes and whatevers cluttering up his home, Clutter.com can help. The service will pack and stash everything from doodads to bicycles and furniture. It will then cart it away and store it, as well as create a digital log from which you can call to have to items returned anytime you might need them.

Harvest Home

Harvest Home recliner

Harvest Home

We don’t need to say out loud that dads love recliners; everyone knows this. We also know that dads can be resistant to change, especially in the favorite-furniture department, but I’m betting that when he sees these particular recliners, he will be willing to upgrade and try something new. Just to be safe, you can always go with a gift certificate because Harvest Home has lots of beautiful and rustic items to spruce up any man cave.

Chatbooks

Father’s Day Chatbook 2017

Chatbooks

I bought one of these for my mother for Mother’s Day and it was a huge hit. If your dad is not on Instagram and is missing all your fabulous selfies and/or posts with your mini-me, this book is easy as pie to create from your Instagram feed (or other photos) and feels super personal—plus, they’ve created a duo of special Father’s Day 2017 designs. Note, however, that you may have to pay a steep shipping charge at this point for it to arrive on time, but dad’s worth it, right? (Plus the things cost only about $14 each!)
