If you’re thinking of revamping your kitchen but have no idea where to start, Pinterest has revealed the hottest trends for the room that provides the heart of a home – and they’re seriously inspiring. 

For many, the glossy picture-sharing site Pinterest acts as their one-stop shop for interior inspiration, and the site has now revealed the top kitchen trends of 2017.

Thanks to health bloggers on Instagram, pantry styling is huge news this year, along with eco-friendly composting, quirky bar carts and expensive stoves.

Pantry styling 

There’s currently no shortage of glossy snaps all over social media of food bloggers’ impressive pantries, all perfectly organised thanks to rows of mason jars and wicker baskets. 

According to Pinterest’s team of experts, pantry organisation doesn’t just have to be functional. The site say that people are looking for ways to make their food containers more fun and keep things fresh.

Vertical bar carts

If a lack of floor space is keeping you from investing in a bar cart, try these trending vertical bar cart solutions.

They’re easy to wheel into different rooms depending on your preference, and can be decorated with your best glasswear and quirky ornaments to suit your taste. 

Marble

From laptops to phone cases, marble is really having a moment right now – and it seems the trend has now seeped into interior decor too.

Marble kitchen tops are hugely popular on the website, with an extra thick style being the choice of the moment. 

Composting 

People are looking to learn more about turning table scraps into plant food for yards and potted plants, according to Pinterest.

These eco-friendly compost bins have been trending all year on the picture-pinning site. 

Coffee Bar Command Centre

Rather than just sticking a big to-do list on the fridge, people are creating coffee bar command centres complete with note boards and everything they need to start their day with a hot beverage.

Many people are creating an at-home coffee stations to rival high street chains like Starbucks – complete with rows of mugs, Nespresso machines and sugar pots. 

Cast Iron Cookware 

People are graduating from non-stick hobs, and selecting beautiful cast-iron cookware that not only serve a useful purpose, but also look striking when lined up on open shelving.
