Chestertown Sears store still selling Whirpool | Spotlight …

CHESTERTOWN — On Oct. 24, Sears announced that it is no longer selling Whirlpool manufactured appliances.

The 700 independently owned and operated Sears Hometown Stores throughout the country — including the one located in the Washington Square shopping center — will continue to sell Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid appliances.

The Chestertown Sears is an independent local business and that has operated for 22 years. The store operates under an agreement with Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, which is the source for the merchandise sold here. Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores has many direct relationships with brands in many product categories, Whirlpool is one of those brands.

“Local Independent Sears Hometown Store continue to offer the top 10 major appliances, including Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid, and we are here to stay,” a news release states.
