Children’s shoe retailer opens at Ann Arbor’s Briarwood Mall

Briarwood Mall added a new tenant to its store lineup this weekend: children’s footwear and accessories retailer Journeys Kidz.

The store, a division of teenage retailer Journeys, opened Saturday at the shopping center at the corner of Interstate 94 and South State Street in Ann Arbor.

Journeys Kidz opened in the former Journeys space, after Journeys relocated to the former Destination Maternity space. Destination Maternity also relocated inside the mall.

Launched in 2011, Journeys Kidz targets customers aged five-years-old to 12-years-old. The store carries brands such as TOMS, Sperry, Vans and Puma, according to the company’s website.

Other recent tenant changes at Briarwood include: Tatsu Sushi opened in the mall’s center court; Potato Co. opened near California Pizza Kitchen; and Elephant Ears, a locally owned children’s clothing and equipment store, opened in the Von Maur wing of the mall.
