Fissler Bolsters Cookware Line With Adamant Pans

Fifth generation family-owned German housewares company, Fissler, is bringing a new collection of fry pans to the market.

The new line, named Adamant, is designed to mimic nature in both the design and the quality aspects of the cookware, the company noted. The line will be available in the U.S. this winter through its American division, Fissler America.

“Adamant was inspired by nature, which shows us that textured surfaces — whether shells, scales or wrinkles — are especially resilient and long-lasting. The hardness of natural rock was also an inspiration for the line,” said Chris Robason, managing director for Fissler America.

The styling of the Adamant fry pan collection is designed to tie in with kitchen décor trends with their contemporary styling and Anthracite color, and they are also designed to hold more food, the company said, allowing consumers an easier way to cook and stir.

According to the company, it’s not just the aesthetic that has given Adamant its unique look. Innovative sealing gives Adamant pans a novel surface, with a tangible texture and a raw look reminiscent of cast iron cookware. Fissler said the new pan is sealed with silicon carbide, which is both the lightest and hardest ceramic material. Properties include thermal conductivity and strong resistance to acids and alkalis, noted the company.

Fissler is launching three Adamant fry pans with 8-inch, 9.5-inch and 11-inch size diameters. They will be available for shipment this December, with suggested retail prices of $79.99, $89.99 and $99.99, respectively.
