Halcyon Days

Halcyon Days is a bespoke service to create unique gifts for a discerning international customer. Best known for its enamel and English fine bone china, the gifting label holds all three royal warrants to the British Royal Household as the suppliers of objets d’art. To create each elaborate piece, a team of highly skilled craftsmen and master artists come together to employ refined techniques and processes. Most often inspired by flora and fauna, the range of gifting options at Halcyon Days includes everything from cufflinks, scarves and watches to teapots, jewellery boxes and candles. The best part? The label offers personalisation on items like watches and bangles that can carry an engraved message and monograms on multi-purpose enamel boxes and cufflinks.

 What to look out for?
‘Antler Trellis’ is our new collection of dinnerware inspired by the Scottish Highlands. Gordon Castle in Scotland has a cupola where the ceiling is adorned with hundreds of stag antlers. The decorative features of the castle form the inspiration behind design elements in this collection. On closer inspection, you will be able to view the uniform golden antlers set in contemporary shapes. Available in black, ivory and red the English fine bone china range is available in tea and dinnerware.

The most elaborate Halcyon Days creation?
We recently launched a collection in collaboration with the Castle of Mey, which was once the Scottish home of Queen Elizabeth. The collection was dedicated to restoring the castle and its grounds, in the process creating a charming walled garden setting, designed to keep plants protected from the harsh Scottish weather. The inspiration for part of the collection was derived from the flowers that grow there that just happened to be the Queen Elizabeth’s favourite. The inspiration translated as English fine bone china tea-ware decorated with scattered flowers. Another part of the collection features several shells placed together to form Queen Elizabeth’s cypher which is set onto a soft pink background. This collection exudes the cosiness of the small castle and the flora that grows within it.

What’s trending?
Hosts like to showcase their creative sides in the smallest of things, such as name cards at a dinner setting for the guests. We suggest our clients to replace the name cards with a monogrammed enamel pillbox on top of the table setting. Clients can choose from a variety of colours for the base and the lid. They can have up to three initials or numbers on the upper lid and a special message hand painted on the inside to commemorate the special occasion. Besides making for a spectacular dinner setting it also allows the recipient to leave with a wholly personal gift to cherish forever.
