HomeGoods to open in Howell in September

HOWELL HomeGoods, the discount home decor retailer, will open its newest store in Monmouth County next month.

The 21,673-square-foot store, located at Howell Commons, 4765 Route 9, will open its doors on Sept. 6 at 8 a.m. Howell Commons also has a T.J. Maxx, a sister store also owned by TJX Companies. The store is in the midst of hiring employees, which will number about 65 full- and part-time positions.

HomeGoods is in the midst of an expansion. Last year, it opened a store in Shrewsbury and followed it with a store in Brick earlier this summer. Howell will be the fifth location in Monmouth County. Home Goods also has three locations in Ocean County.

HomeGoods sells furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, kitchen and dining items, bedding, bath, children’s decor, toys, outdoor living, workspace and pet products. The store offers top brands and designers at discount prices.

“Our amazing values, brand names, and vast assortment make HomeGoods an exciting destination for shoppers,” said John Ricciuti, president of HomeGoods, in a statement. “With a large variety of special merchandise from around the world, customers will always find something thrilling in our treasure hunt environment at great values.”

Regular store hours are Monday through Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday to 10 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
