“We’ve authored lots of cookbooks and we felt that the next natural step was cookware.”

The new cookware and wine collection will launch on June 12.

Taking inspiration from his own cooking style, Bobby Deen said that they wanted to create cookware that would make the cooking process easier and faster for those with busy schedules.

“Our cookware has a healthy non-stick surface, which will allow people to use less oils, fewer aerosol sprays and reduce fat and calories in a very simple way,” he said. “This was always part of the plan because we want to help people.” The cookware features a stone-infused, titanium-reinforced ceramic non-stick interior.

Wine for the dine

For their wine collection, the brothers partnered with Doug Margerum to create their collection, Savannah Cellars, which includes an assortment of varieties, including Chardonnay and a red blend developed by Jamie Deen during a recent trip to Santa Barbara.

In addition to wines, customers will have access to Deen family recipes online, and each will feature a perfect pairing to a different Savannah Cellars wine. Customers can buy three, six, or 12 bottles at a time and select wines that best fit their tastes or opt for a monthly subscription.

“The wine process has been fun. Our partner, Doug Margerum, grows his grapes outside of Santa Barbara so traveling and spending time in such a beautiful area is a bonus,” said Jamie Deen.

“Pairing wines has been a
part of our business for 30 years
so it’s a natural fit that we are excited to share.”

New restaurant

The release of the kitchen line and wine collection comes just weeks after Jamie and Bobby and their mother, celebrity-chef Paula Deen, opened the newest Deen family restaurant, Paula Deen’s Creek House at 104 Bryan Woods Road., the former location of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House, which Paula Deen co-owned with her brother, Earl W. “Bubba” Hiers Jr.

Prior to the opening of the Creek House on May 29, the property had been vacant since Uncle Bubba’s closed abruptly in April 2014. At the time Hiers stated he decided to close the restaurant to explore development options for the waterfront property. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant and the 3-acre lot were listed for sale a couple of months later for just under $4 million.

The Deen brothers, along with their mother, will debut the collection during a live event on Evine on June 12 at 11 p.m. and June 13 at 3 a.m., 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Evine airs on DIRECTV channels 73 and 316, DISH Network channels 134 and 228, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, select Samsung Smart TVs, YouTube and cable providers. Find Evine in your area, got to bit.ly/1CNa450.
