Nashville Food Project Hosts Scratch Made Holiday Marketplace

ScratchmadeBe sure to stop by The Nashville Food Project’s holiday marketplace and open house event, Scratch Made, this Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The marketplace will be stocked with handmade goods made by staffers and volunteers, including herb salts, herbal salves and loose teas made with ingredients grown in their own garden. There will also be a selection of kitchen accessories such as handmade screen-printed tea towels, canvas bags and aprons, too. I picked up several tea towels decorated with fruits and vegetables at last year’s event to give as gifts (and kept one for myself as well!).

Admission to Scratch Made is free, and while shopping, guests can enjoy free coffee, cider and snacks to make shopping even more pleasant.

The event will take place this Sunday, Dec. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Nashville Food Project’s location at 3605 Hillsboro Pike in Green Hills, adjacent to Woodmont Christian Church. All proceeds from sales benefit The Nashville Food Project, which works to grow, cook and collect donated food to distribute to Nashvillians in need. For more information, visit the website
