Oak Lawn Restaurant Puts Unique Spin on Menu

Much to my surprise this place was indeed booming, every table occupied so we waited just a few minutes to be seated. What I experienced that morning was well worth the wait.

The hostess was pleasant while greeting us upon entering, our server was on top of her game continuously refilling our coffee and even though every table in the house was occupied, we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I decided to try the country skillet a perfect blend of sauteed diced sausage, ham off the bone, onions, peppers and mushrooms.
I don’t know if it was that delicious skillet, or the fast service that really impressed me but the one thing that really stuck in my mind is watching the owner Tom Demacopoulos greeting customers as they entered and going from table to table saying hello to his customers and making sure everything was fine.

“We didn’t invent the wheel, just put a different spin on dining” said Demacopoulos who opened in Dec 2011, when he relocated from his Orland Park “Plaza Cafe” to a new 2500 Sq foot corner space at 5273 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn.

Since opening, the Stacked Pancake House has been serving locals some tasty food which includes a full selection delicious items including red velvet pancakes, delightful cinnamon raisin french toast, scrumptious Denver omelets and steaming country skillets. They also offer a complete lunch menu that is sure to please all taste buds.

So during a time when business owners fight to survive the impact from the economy it’s safe to say the Stacked Pancake House is here to stay.
