Packwood is accepting items for annual sale

LEWISBURG — The Packwood House Museum is now accepting donations of items for its annual Attic Tag Sale, which will be held Feb. 20 through March 3. The sale, held in the museum’s Tour Center, is one of the museum’s most popular and successful fund raisers. All proceeds benefit Packwood House Museum. Items that can be sold include books, jewelry, glass, china, kitchenware, furniture, toys, lamps, postcards, sporting equipment, craft items, holiday decorations — anything except for televisions, computers and other electronics, encyclopedia sets and clothing, although the museum does accept vintage accessories. Kitchen appliances will be accepted but must be in working order. All donations are tax-deductible.

Through Jan. 6, donations can be dropped off at the Tour Center during the museum’s regular business hours of Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. From Jan. 8 through Feb. 5, the museum will be closed for winter break, so make an appointment to drop off your items during this period by calling 570-524-0323. The Tour Center is located at 15 N. Water St., Lewisburg. For more information concerning the Packwood House Museum or the Attic Tag Sale, visit or call the museum at 570-524-0323.
