Painesville Railroad Museum to host first Railroad Memorabilia Show on Aug. 28 – News



The first Railroad Memorabilia Show will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Painesville Railroad Museum, Painesville Depot, 475 Railroad St. in Painesville.


The show is designed to have collectors show off their private collections of railroad related items. These could be railroad signals, dinnerware used in dining cars, railroad lanterns, paperwork from different local railroads, conductor hats and engineer hats, etc. Some items will be for display only by private collectors and some items will be available for purchase.

The show will provide the history of the Painesville depot from 1851 to present and how the railroads have influenced the city of Painesville and the nation.

See the Collinwood Engine 999. This replica is of the famous New York Central engine that set the land speed record of 112.5 mph in May of 1893.

Admission is $3 per person and $5 for a family.
