Revealed: What Guests Can Eat at Le Dîner en Blanc

Le Dîner en Blanc returns to Las Vegas, on Sunday, Oct. 8, with a secret location for a dinner of guests donning all white attire. Last year, Le Dîner en Blanc took over The Park between the Monte Carlo and New York-New York with 1,000 participants.

Registration for this rain or shine event is already open. Those who land an invitation must bring their own all-white table setting with a table, chairs and tablecloth along with a picnic basket with dinnerware and stemware. The secret location is revealed when participants arrive at the assigned meeting spot on Oct. 8.

Those who don’t want to bring their own picnic basket can purchase pre-designed versions from Superior Event Services online.

The Arc de Triomphe basket goes for $60 for two people and includes a Nicoise orzo pasta salad; gourmet cheese, meat and fruit board; assorted French macarons; and madeleine cookies. An olive assortment, dried fruits and nuts and artisan breads come with this version.

The Notre Dame Cathedral basket for $80 for two people includes a salmon Nicoise salad; tapas board with hummus, veggies, feta cheese and pita chips; a vegetable crudité served with a spinach and artichoke dip; French macarons; and vanilla and strawberry pot de la creme.

The Musee de Louvre basket costs $80 for two people and includes chilled tomato soup, a watermelon and feta salad, open-face steak sandwich with parmesan dressing, French cheeses with fig chutney, French macarons, and a chocolate and salted caramel pot de la creme.

Finally, the Eiffel Tower basket at $95 for two people includes a French country salad, stuffed chicken roulade, garlic shrimp scampi, French cheeses with fig chutney, mini beignets with dipping sauces, and white chocolate dipped strawberries.

Alcohol must be ordered through the website as well.

Don’t read too much into the names of baskets; Le Dîner en Blanc started in Paris.
