Something for everyone

KUCHING: There is something for everyone at the Perfect Livin home and lifestyle exhibition, which is back for the second time at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.

Retiree Christine Chang has never missed going to the exhibition and she comes away with something each time.

“I usually look for household appliances rather than furniture. The last time it was here in April I got a smart cooker, which I found to be very good.

“This time I am looking for an oven,” she told StarMetro when met at the exhibition.

Several new exhibitors are making their debut appearance at Perfect Livin. Among them are Favourite Reno N Deco Sdn Bhd, which offers kitchen cabinets, accessories and appliances as well as wardrobes.

“Our dynamic kitchen concept helps homeowners to customise and use kitchen functions. There are five zones in the concept – consumables, non-consumables, storage, wash section and cook section.

“We can also help customers to design their kitchens,” sales representative Daryl Leon Duke said.

The kitchen accessories include storage baskets, sinks and acrylic or granite countertops while cabinet options include glossy and melamine wood-grain door panels.

Throughout the four-day exhibition, Favourite Reno is offering cash rebates and lucky draws for customers. “We also offer reasonable prices for our kitchens,” Daryl said.

At Hatch Home Concept Sdn Bhd, a hot selling item is the foldable mattress, which is offered at RM299 instead of the usual price of RM699.

“We introduced this last year and it is very popular. It is made of pure latex. You can use it in the guestroom or for children to take a nap in the living room.

“It is quite light, weighing about five kg, so you can bring it along when you are travelling,” a sales representative said, adding that limited units were available at Perfect Livin.

Hatch Home Concept also has fabric sofas, mattresses, bed frames, bean bags and pillows.

Visitors looking for water heaters and fans can drop by Alpha Home Appliances Sdn Bhd.

According to Alpha manager Richard Wong, the latest water heater models come with improved safety functions.

“The autotest will run for eight seconds to check the heater’s condition. A green light will come on if it is safe to use. There is also a line fault indicator to check your home’s earth wiring,” he said.

A wide range of fans can also be found at Alpha, including 88-inch and 100-inch wooden ceiling fans and powerful standing fans which can reach about 9m.

Perfect Livin is open from 10am to 9pm until tomorrow. Admission is free.
