You Can Now Own Dinnerware from the World’s Best Restaurant

If you can’t score a reservation to New York’s hottest restaurant, at least you can eat off the same plates. Allied Works is offering a limited run of the suite of elegant tableware created especially for Eleven Madison Park, and it’s what minimalist dreams are made of.

This year crowned the World’s Best Restaurant, Eleven Madison Park reopened its doors in October with a freshly redesigned space conceived by Allied Works—the firm known for blockbuster architectural work like Uniqlo’s sprawling headquarters in Japan. Founding principal Brad Cloepfil lent his expert eye to every detail in Eleven Madison Park, designing furnishings, cups, and plates in addition to the interiors themselves. Because what could be more important than presenting the most sought-after food in the world?

To highlight Chef Daniel Humm’s French-influenced courses, Cloepfil conceived a series of dinnerware crafted in raw porcelain and finished with a crisp white glaze. “The variety and range of plates, bowls, and cups reflect an attention to proportion and materiality that is finely tuned to the needs of his menu and its expressive possibilities,” explains Cloepfil. Ceramic lovers, rejoice—the outermost surfaces of the pieces are left unglazed, intending to give a more raw, earthy feel to the otherwise pristine set. The six-piece suite (selling at $3,040) includes salad plates, dinner plates, large coupes, chargers, bread plates, and teacups with saucers. For the hungriest buyers among us, flat bowls, broth cups, and small coupes can be added on to a set. Cloepfil adds, “In its detail and form, the tableware is elemental, elegant and timeless.” To that we say, “Bon appétit!”
